Summary
GKONE is the production banking platform of a Jamaican bank where I deliver continuous high-impact features across mobile, web, microservices and identity, working across the remittances team, the platform team and cross-cutting initiatives in direct collaboration with internal bank teams since 2021. The engagement began via The Bridge Social and converted to direct delivery through Accentio Studios when the bank chose to retain me.
Highlights
- Shipped complete user-facing flows across the mobile app: transactions history, phone top-up, account management, home screen, bill payment and wallet. — 6+ full UI flows shipped to production banking app
- Modernized the bank's identity platform end-to-end by migrating from Azure AD B2C to Microsoft Entra External ID across the Flutter app, web apps for the bank's own surfaces and third-party integrations, plus all new sign-in / sign-up / reset-password screens. — End-to-end identity migration across mobile, web and third-party integration surfaces
- Delivered API changes across core banking microservices: core, IAM, remittance and wallet. — 4 production banking microservices touched
- Built admin tooling for the bank's internal team to configure parameters for the new identity platform from a single admin panel. — 1 admin panel governs the new identity platform's configuration
- Built a full identity conflict resolution system so users can recover duplicated accounts, merge accounts or report identity theft, integrated with a maker-checker workflow in the admin panel. — End-to-end self-service identity recovery + admin maker-checker workflow
